Senior FPGA Developer

Our systems are based on advanced processors and FPGAs and are used in aviation and cyber-security critical applications. You will be part of a team that drives development forward.

Your Role

As a senior FPGA developer, you will have a central role in the development of our embedded systems and FPGA solutions for network communication. You will work in a team that develops the next generation of high-performance and secure P4-programmable network switches, where you will be responsible for designing and implementing complete and complex functions on our FPGA platforms.

Here, you will work closely with both hardware and software, contribute to architectural choices, and drive technical solutions from idea to finished product.

Your Profile

As a person, you are structured, analytical, and have a knack for collaborating with others in projects with high demands on quality and security.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A Master's degree or equivalent with a focus on embedded systems, system-on-chip, or similar
• Several years of experience in FPGA development
• Experience in software development for embedded systems (C/C++ or similar)
• Experience in HW/SW integration and verification
• The ability and willingness to take responsibility for larger complex FPGA functions

It is also considered an advantage if you have:

• Experience in development in Altera and/or AMD (Xilinx) tool environments
• Experience in developing embedded Linux systems
• Experience in aviation/cyber-security critical systems or military/defense technology
• Expertise in network communication
• Expertise in signal processing, radio technology, or electronics
• A PhD in a relevant/related technical field

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail citizenship requirements.
